My Friend' s GaL

its odd to write anything abt any of my friend's gf, but i guess its OK when ur friend itself comes and asked u to do so. though, i don't understand why he chose me. maybe he trusts me too much...so a week ago we met and he shared his story with me. now he wants me to share his story to the whole world(as if the whole world is waiting patiently for my next article). but he took my word to not to mention either his name or his gf's. so,this is how the story begins....

note:all names used here are fictional

once upon a time there was this romantic guy call say Prem. Prem, besides being romantic was shy too. i can recall from the school days once when Jenny asked for a pen to him, his hands were shivering giving away. he once told me that he had a crush on Jenny till class VII.

one fine day it was raining hard. it was already 9:15 am and he had to reach the school before 9:50 as our class starts by 10am(by the way we were in class VIII at that time). he and his brother were having a hard time finding a rickshaw. after walking for some distance, finally they saw a rickshaw, so he and his brother ran fast to catch it before some other guy takes it. when he reached there and was almost abt to get up, he heard a soft voice from behind "hey can i take this rickshaw, actually m kina late for the school". when he turn behind to say no, he was no more in this world, he was in a wonderland where he had found the angel of his life, from nowhere came the words "yes, ofcourse". so this is how our hero met his heroine for the first time.

a year past after the "Rain Day" and still a second meeting to be decided. he tried to find her everywhere but he couldnt find her anywhere. then one day, he went to his math teacher's house to talk for a tuition, there he notice something familiar, oh there she was, finally his search ended, he had found her. his teacher asked him to come from the next day and wonder what, he was in same batch as her, woh what a jack pot.....the LUCKY DAy....from this days onwards every night before going to the tuition, he used to plan abt how to approach her. each time he sees her he could hardly bring a word to her.this way days past and then months and then the 9th std. his 9th exams didnt go good, though nothing unusual in that but maths, the subject he used to do well even with less practice didn't go good. so in the 10 std, his tuition teacher put him in a batch which didn't had her(as she was good in studies). this upset him a bit, but not much though.that year he started to do those things that he never did in his previous years, he started take parts in all sports events(he was the house captain) and soon discovered that he was good in almost all the sports, and best at cricket. he even become sort of serious at studies too. but still every night when he slept, he used to think of her. every time he saw her on the road, his heart beat used to get doubled and his body get cold even on hot summer.

finally he completed his 10th broad exam, then she went to other city for higher studies. the feeling of not ever getting a chance to see her did make him feel sad, but he moved ahead, really ahead and today after 7 years he is sitting at CCD with his friends at IIM Bangalore discussing abt some case studies. by the way he graduated this year from IIT Roorkee. it amazes me very much when i analyze his life, his transition from a shye guy in school to guy handling a case studies at IIMB. well this is life, it all abt expecting the unexpected. but one thing is still the same to his school days, that is his still single, he hasn't talked to her since 10th. when i asked him what inspires him to aim higher and higher goals in life, he has just one answer- his love for the girl..........

man from space

when i was a child, i used to walk at night counting the number of stars in the sky and used to wonder why don't i ever finished my counting. as i grew older i came to know that stars are like a sun, oh what have i said, i mean sun is a star which is closest to our planet than any of the other millions and millions of stars that exist in the universe(thanks to guys called Physicists). sometimes as a child, i dreamed if ever i get a chance to go to space but as i grew up i realized that going to space is not what i exactly want to do though it might sound really big. but yes even today, whenever i hear in news abt some astronaut going to space, it still gives me the same excitement as it was as a child. to become an astronaut is really a challenging task, not just because it requires multi-dimensional talent, but it requires a great management skills to use those talents.

so today, getting a chance to meet a NASA Astronaut was truly something which i never thought i would ever get in my life. it was really a honour, thanks to IIT Guwahati Techniche team 2009. his name is Mike Fincke (nam to suna hi hoga)and is a colonel of USAF too besides being an astronaut at NASA and holds the record of 365 days at space.he gave a nice lecture on life at space and how beautiful our planet looks from the space. it was a wonderful experience to get to know abt space from the mouth of the guy who has been there.it was really a life time experience, i dont know if ever i get such a chance more in my life.m falling short of words now(thats why i should not be journalist) and thank you Techniche,
